Scope

This standard specifies the minimum dimensional requirements for safety covers for cutting attachments of portable internal combustion engine-powered brush cutters and lawn mowers used in forestry. This standard also applies to electric lawn mowers whose cutting device is non-metallic and non-rigid, whose cutting capacity (kinetic energy) is less than or equal to 107, and which operates in a plane parallel to the ground.
