- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for measuring the sound power level of fans in a reverberation test room. Any laboratory that meets the requirements of this standard can use this method. This standard applies to air conditioning equipment and ventilators used in air conditioning systems. This standard does not apply to cross-flow fans, household fans and ventilators working in flammable, explosive and high dust concentration environments. This standard is only applicable to the determination of the sound power level of fan noise using air as the medium and complying with the provisions of this standard.
