Scope
1.1 This standard stipulates the installation working hours quota for RND low-speed diesel main engine on board. 1.2 The listed working hours quotas for each clause of this standard are given under typical conditions and can be modified according to the actual difficulty when used. For the correction coefficient K, please refer to the instructions for use of the relevant terms. 1.3 The working hour quota specified in this standard includes: basic time, auxiliary time, time for setting up the work place, time for rest and physiological needs, preparation and completion time. 1.4 This standard is a working hour quota based on the marine low-speed diesel engine manufactured by Sulzer. RD is designed and manufactured by the Swiss Sulzer Company. In 1968, the design was improved and the pulse supercharging was changed to isobaric supercharging, the rotary exhaust valve was eliminated in the structure, and the model was changed to RND. In 1975, new technologies such as oil injection and lubrication systems were improved, and the model was named RND-M. RLA is a new model developed on the basis of RND-M to increase the stroke, reduce the number of revolutions and increase the propulsion power. The working hours quota of various models can be used universally. 1.5 The low-speed diesel engines manufactured by the Swiss Sulzer Company and the West German MAN Company are slightly identical in structure, and their working hour quotas can be used universally. 1.6 The working hours quota of this standard is based on a 6-cylinder machine. If the number of cylinders increases or decreases, it can be increased or decreased in proportion to the single-cylinder working hour quota. 1.7 The technical grades cited in this standard are based on the "Technical Grade Standards for Shipbuilding Industry Workers" issued by China State Shipbuilding Corporation in 1983.
