This standard is applicable to integrally forged shafts for large vertical and horizontal turbines (Francis turbines with a nominal runner diameter greater than 10MW or greater than 1m, and axial flow and tubular turbines with a nominal runner diameter greater than 2.5m). Since main shaft friction transmission has not yet been widely used in domestic large-scale hydraulic turbines and the design method is not yet mature, this specification does not recommend its corresponding size series and technical specifications. The standard stipulates the structure and size series of spindles with shaft diameters from 300mm to 2000mm. It does not specify the stress of each part of the spindle, the strength of the screw grip and other design elements. For spindles whose shaft diameter is greater than 2000mm, it is recommended to use forge welding structure.
