- This standard applies to electromagnetic starters for AC and DC motors used in ships. The starter is used to control the starting, stopping and forward and reverse operation of the motor, and protects the motor and its related circuits from overload, short circuit, voltage loss and phase failure. This standard complies with the provisions of the "Ship Construction Specifications (Electrical Equipment)" (1976) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
