- This standard stipulates the thread profile of high-precision trapezoidal thread broaching taps and the limit deviations of their basic dimensions, and gives several instructions on the tolerances of high-precision trapezoidal thread broaching taps in Appendix A (the appendix of the standard). This standard is applicable to high-precision trapezoidal thread broaching taps used for processing trapezoidal threads (according to JB/T 2886-1992 "Technical Conditions for Machine Tool Trapezoidal Screws and Nuts" Class 7, 8, and 9 non-matching nuts). The thread tolerance of taps is divided into: Grade 1 and Grade 2.
