- This standard stipulates the basic requirements, composition, character usage rules, technical characteristics and writing methods of product marks for the national standards and industry standard product marks of the shipping industry. This standard applies to ship outfitting, piping accessories, ship product parts and components, etc. Other marine equipment products can also be used with reference. The preparation method of enterprise standard product markings should also refer to the provisions of this standard. For products that have formulated standards for model preparation methods or have other regulations on model preparation by the competent authority, the relevant standards or regulations shall be followed.
