Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods and assessment methods for magnetic particle testing of connecting rod bolts of internal combustion engines. This standard is applicable to the inspection of surface and near-surface defects of ferromagnetic material bolts of reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter less than or equal to 200mm.
