This standard specifies a unified measurement method for the vibration state of the entire marine diesel engine under normal operating conditions. It is suitable for vibration measurement of main and auxiliary diesel engines of various types of steel ships. Vibration measurements of main and auxiliary diesel engines and bench tests of other types of ships can be implemented as a reference. The measurement methods specified in this standard are not suitable for analyzing vibration sources, studying local vibrations and other research purposes.
