- The strength calculation method for the propeller shaft and intermediate shaft of the ship shaft system specified in this document is applicable to all types of ship shaft systems except speedboats. The calculation method for the critical rotation speed of shafting transverse vibration specified in this document can be used for various types of ship shafting systems. The calculation formula of the corresponding International System of Units is recorded in parentheses after the relevant calculation formula.
