- This standard specifies the specimens, specimen cutting, specimen preparation, test procedures, result evaluation and test reports for transverse bending tests of marine steel pipes. This standard is applicable to the transverse bending test of marine seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes with an outer diameter greater than 60mm. The transverse bending test of other metal pipes can also be used as a reference. This test method can replace the flattening test.
