- This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transportation requirements for AC asynchronous motors for marine axial flow fans. This standard applies to asynchronous motors for three-phase single-speed squirrel-cage axial flow fans installed on ships with voltages of 500 V and below and frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz. This standard does not apply to ventilators transporting flammable and explosive gases on board ships.
