Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of Class J externally clamped fire joints (hereinafter referred to as joints) with flange connection dimensions according to JIS B2240-1996. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of joints for ship water fire piping systems.
