- This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of J-type flanged bronze hose valves (hereinafter referred to as hose valves) with flange connection dimensions according to JIS B2240-1996. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of hose valves for ship piping systems with media such as seawater, fresh water, air or other gases, and steam with a temperature not higher than 205°C.
