Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of J-type flange cast steel closable vertical anti-wave valves (hereinafter referred to as anti-wave valves) with flange connection dimensions according to JIS B2238-1996. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of anti-wave valves for fresh water, sea water and sewage pipelines on ships.
