Scope

This standard specifies the determination of the mutagenicity of urban water supplies using the Salmonella Typhimurium/mammalian microsomal enzyme test. This standard is applicable to the determination of mutagenicity of urban water supply and its source water quality. This standard stipulates that 2L is the maximum detection water sample volume for inoculation.
