- This standard specifies the definition, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of damped current limiters (hereinafter referred to as current limiters) with voltage levels of 35kV and below. This standard is applicable to AC 50Hz power systems with nominal voltages of 6, 10, and 35kV, reactors with a reactance rate of less than 1% in series with parallel capacitors, and damping resistors that are instantaneously connected to limit and dampen the parallel capacitors. A set of current limiters for contract inrush purposes.
