- This standard specifies the classification, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and quality commitment of plastic safety helmets. This standard applies to industrial safety helmets whose shell bodies are made of plastics such as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC). . This standard does not apply to head protective equipment used in sports, firefighting, emergency rescue, riot control, military, and vehicle head protective equipment.
