- This standard specifies the rain test conditions and test methods for transportation packaging of geological instrument products (hereinafter referred to as products). This standard is applicable to the rain test of transportation packaging of all types of geological instrument products with a single unit weighing less than 100kg (gross weight including packaging). The purpose is to determine the ability of the complete package to withstand rain when it is exposed to rain in the loading, unloading, storage and transportation environment and its impact on the product inside the package.
