- This standard specifies the free drop test conditions and test methods for the transportation packaging of geological instrument products (hereinafter referred to as products). This standard is applicable to the free drop test of the transportation packaging of all types of geological instrument products whose single unit is less than 100kg (gross weight including packaging). The purpose is to determine whether the packaging is strong, its buffering effect and the ability to protect the product from damage when the packaging container withstands the impact of dropping in loading, unloading, storage and transportation environments.
