Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, sampling and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. for insulating tie rods used in gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS) of 550kV and below. This standard is applicable to fiber-reinforced insulating tie rods for gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS) of 550kV and below. Fiber-reinforced insulating tie rods for higher voltage level GIS can be implemented with reference to this standard.
