Scope

This standard specifies methods for quality identification of safety-level lead-acid batteries in nuclear power plants using type inspection, operating experience or analytical methods. This standard is only applicable to the quality appraisal of safety batteries and their brackets installed outside the containment shell of nuclear power plants. This standard does not apply to battery charging equipment and other types of batteries.
