Scope
This section specifies the method for determining the capacity of a DC load and a stationary lead-acid battery (hereinafter referred to as the battery) that supplies the load under full float charge operation conditions, and gives some factors that need to be considered when selecting a battery. This section applies to the determination of battery capacity for nuclear power plants. This section does not apply to the installation, maintenance, quality identification and testing of other types of batteries, nor does it apply to the design of DC systems and the determination of the capacity of children's battery charging devices.
