Scope

This standard specifies two burst test methods for determining the seam strength and burst expansion of straight-line seam types of textiles. Method A is the marble popping method, and method B is the diaphragm popping method. This standard applies to knitted fabrics and elastic woven fabrics and their products. This standard does not apply to high elastic fabrics.
