- This standard specifies the minimum performance requirements that must be met by the elevation speed indicator (hereinafter referred to as the instrument) used on civil aircraft (hereinafter referred to as the aircraft). This standard applies to the following types of instruments: Type aA: integrated pressure-actuated direct-reading type; Type bB: integrated pressure-actuated electrical or electronic type; Type cC: electrical or electronic type with remote pressure sensor input.
