Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the cavitation resistance of aircraft engine fuel pumps under the conditions of the gas-to-liquid ratio specified in the aircraft engine model regulations. This standard does not specify the altitude or climb rate of the test object. This standard applies to all pumps in the engine fuel system, including engine auxiliary fuel pumps, main system fuel pumps and afterburning system fuel pumps.
