- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage of wire rope compression joint components for aircraft control. This standard is applicable to the design, selection, manufacturing and acceptance of wire rope compression joint components used for control of civil aircraft. Other aircraft types can also be implemented with reference. This standard also applies to other general-purpose wire rope compression joint assemblies on aircraft.
