Scope
This standard specifies the minimum performance requirements that power plant fire detection systems used on civil aircraft powered by piston and turbine engines must meet. This standard applies to the following basic types of fire alarm detection systems or their combinations: a. Type I──thermal type (set alarm temperature) When the ambient temperature of the sensor of the detection system is higher than the preset alarm temperature, it should Alarm signal issued; b. Type II─thermal type (set rising rate) When the rising rate of the ambient temperature where the sensor of the detection system is located is above the preset value, an alarm signal should be issued; c.Type III─ ─ Flame contact type: When the sensor of the detection system is in flame and comes into contact with the flame body, an alarm signal should be sent out.
