- This specification specifies the general requirements and methods for sampling and preparation of samples for chemical analysis of metal heat treatment salt baths. It includes sampling locations, sampling tools, sampling quantities, sampling cycles, preparation of salt baths before sampling, and sampling and sample preparation. methods etc. This specification is applicable to the sampling and preparation of samples for regular inspection and analysis of chemical compositions of salt baths used for metal heat treatment (including high-temperature salt baths, medium-temperature salt baths and nitrate salt baths).
