This standard specifies the symbols, definitions, specimens, test equipment, test procedures, test result processing and test reports for high-temperature creep crack growth rate test methods for metallic materials. This standard is suitable for measuring the creep crack growth rate da/dt of metal materials using a compact tensile (CT) specimen under a constant load at high temperature, and gives the relationship between da/dt and the crack tip parameter C*(t). This standard limits the use of creep crack propagation under large-scale creep conditions; it is not applicable to crack propagation caused by high-temperature corrosive environments.
