- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of J acid. This standard applies to J acid which is prepared by sulfonation of tonic acid and fuming sulfuric acid, followed by hydrolysis, suction filtration, dissolution, alkali fusion, acidification and suction filtration. This product is mainly used as an intermediate for azo dyes.
