Scope

This standard specifies the specimens, test equipment, test procedures and treatment of test results for high-temperature compression tests of metals. This standard is applicable to the determination of specified non-proportional compressive stress, specified total compressive stress, yield point, compressive elastic modulus and compressive strength of elastic materials under unidirectional compression below 900°C.
