- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, transportation and safe use of C 06-1 iron red alkyd primer. This standard applies to alkyd primers with medium oil or long oil alkyd resin as the paint base and iron red as the main pigment. This primer is suitable for coating on ferrous metal surfaces to provide a primer and prevent rust. It combines well with nitrocellulose paint and alkyd paint.
