Scope: This standard lists pictures of various types of defective magnetic marks in magnetic particle inspection of steel parts, and stipulates defect classification, picture marking and usage rules. The pictures listed in this standard include various types of magnetic marks and various defects of varying severity displayed on steel parts tested using wet black magnetic powder, wet fluorescent magnetic powder and rubber casting methods. In magnetic particle inspection, when the actual observed magnetic marks are compared with the pictures listed in this standard, they are first classified according to the image characteristics of the magnetic marks, and then the type of defect is identified. This standard is a reference for making correct judgments on the nature of defects in magnetic particle inspection. If you want to make a conclusion about acceptance or rejection of a product, you must also make a judgment based on the relevant technical conditions and acceptance rules.
