Scope

This standard specifies the indicators, methods and requirements for evaluating the health status of nearshore marine ecosystems. This standard applies to the health status assessment of coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, estuaries and bay ecosystems in the inland seas, territorial waters of the People's Republic of China, and waters under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China.
