- In accordance with the "Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste", this specification is formulated to ensure that the water quality after impoundment of the Three Gorges Reservoir meets the requirements of environmental protection and the operation safety of the Three Gorges Project. This specification applies to the investigation, planning, design, implementation, monitoring, and acceptance of solid waste at the bottom of the Three Gorges Reservoir, including the cleaning and treatment of solid waste. The scope of cleanup involved in this specification is the cleanup and treatment of solid waste in areas below the migration lines of water storage and migration in various stages of the Three Gorges Reservoir in the Yangtze River.
