- This standard applies to organic bentonite for coatings. The organic bentonite is produced by crushing, purifying, deforming and organically activating sodium-based (or calcium-based or sodium-based and calcium-based mixed) bentonite. It is used in paints and primers to prevent hard precipitation of pigments and extenders, and has the function of thickening and preventing paint from sagging.
