- This standard specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules and marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for acid black 8GB. This standard is applicable to diazotization of a molecule of p-nitroaniline, coupling with a molecule of 1-amino-8-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid (II acid) in an acidic medium, and then coupling with a molecule of aniline. Acid black 8GB is produced by secondary coupling of diazo compounds in alkaline medium. Acid black 8GB is mainly used for dyeing silk and wool textiles.
