- This standard specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules and marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for vulcanized brown 3RB. This standard applies to sulfide brown 3RB, which is prepared by condensing p-aminophenol and 2,4-diaminotoluene into indoxyl, oxidizing it to azine with air, and then vulcanizing it with sodium polysulfide. Sulfur brown 3RB is mainly used for dyeing cotton textiles.
