Scope: 1.0.1 In order to ensure that the seismic design of chemical enterprise buildings and structures has clear fortification categories, so as to reduce earthquake disasters and rationally use construction funds, this standard is specially formulated. 1.0.2 This standard is based on the principles of the national standard "Classification Standard for Seismic Protection of Buildings" (GB 50223-95) and combined with the characteristics of the chemical industry, which is a classification standard for the seismic protection of production equipment buildings and structures of chemical enterprises. 1.0.3 This standard is applicable to the classification of seismic fortification categories for individual buildings and structures in chemical production, transportation, and storage areas where the seismic fortification intensity is 6 to 9 degrees. 1.0.4 The seismic fortification intensity or design seismic vibration parameters of the construction area shall be determined in accordance with the regulations of relevant national departments. 1.0.5 When implementing this standard, it should still comply with the requirements of the relevant national standards and specifications.
