- This standard specifies the general requirements, test procedures and judgment criteria for radio interference tests in the laboratory on clean and dry insulators (including bushings, post insulators, rigid insulators, insulator string elements and insulator strings). This standard applies only to clean and dry insulators. The effects of moisture or contamination on the surface of the insulator are not considered in this standard. This standard will be used as part of the type test of the insulator product only when it is cited in the product standard of the insulator.
