- This standard specifies the basic parameters such as the type and nominal diameter, nominal pressure, calculated heat exchange area, heat exchange tubes, number of tube passes, and baffle (support plate) spacing of floating head heat exchangers and floating head condensers. This standard applies to heat exchangers and condensers made of carbon steel, low alloy steel and stainless acid-resistant steel used in the petroleum and chemical industries, and also applies to similar heat exchangers and condensers in other industrial sectors.
