- This standard is applicable to temperature controllers installed for household and similar purposes with a single-phase AC rated voltage not greater than 220V and a rated current not greater than 32A; a DC rated voltage not greater than 110V and a rated current not greater than 10A. The temperature controller uses bimetal as the temperature sensing element. Bimetallic temperature regulators for controlling temperature and bimetallic temperature limiters for preventing overheating are collectively referred to as bimetallic temperature controllers.
