- This standard specifies the naming method of distributed control system template models. This standard is applicable to the model naming of computer system function templates in distributed control systems. It is also applicable to the model naming of other industrial control computer function templates. This standard does not apply to the model naming of industrial control computer I/O channel templates and peripheral equipment templates.
