Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of thermoplastic adhesive-coated polyester film pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for electrical applications. This standard applies to adhesive tapes made of polyester film coated on one side with thermoplastic adhesive. Note: Thermoplastic adhesives used for this type of tape are usually based on natural synthetic rubber.
