- This standard specifies the general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and transportation of AC and DC motors for various types of electric lifting and cargo cranes supporting ship deck machinery. This standard applies to AC and DC motors (hereinafter referred to as motors) for various types of electric hoists, cargo cranes, stabilizers, ropes, and jack winches installed on the open decks and deck compartments of ships.
