- This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of cross-axis universal couplings. This standard is applicable to transmission shaft systems connecting two shafts with an angle β ≤ 45°; single cross-shaft universal couplings and double cross-shaft universal couplings that transmit a nominal torque of 11.2 to 1120 N·m.
