- This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of small fully enclosed refrigeration motor-compressor external thermal protectors. This standard applies to protectors installed on the surface of the fully enclosed refrigeration motor-compressor casing of refrigeration appliances for household and similar purposes. This standard should be used together with JB 6739.1 "Safety Requirements for Thermal Protectors for Small Totally Enclosed Refrigeration Motors and Compressors".
