- Scope
- This standard specifies the magnetic particle inspection acceptance requirements, equipment, inspection methods and quality levels of valve pressure cast steel parts. This standard is applicable to the inspection, quality rating and acceptance of surface or near-surface defects in pressure magnetic conductive steel castings of valves. The magnetic particle inspection of pressure cast steel parts such as flanges and pipe fittings matched with pipelines and non-pressure cast steel parts can also be performed with reference to this standard. When the magnetic field intensity is equal to 2.4kA/m, the cast steel with a magnetic induction intensity greater than 1T in the material is called magnetic steel.
