This standard specifies the working conditions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for welding rod insulation cylinders that use the secondary output of manual arc welding power (AC or DC) as the heating power source. This standard is applicable to insulation cylinders containing low-hydrogen or salt-based coated welding rods that have been dried and require heat preservation and moisture-proofing at the construction site. The insulation of other types of welding rods can also be used as a reference.
